Ghazi Rabihavi is an Iranian novelist, short-story writer, playwright and screenwriter, born in Abadan in 1956. In interviews he recalls a childhood shaped by his mother’s storytelling, the palm groves of southern Iran and school theatre. His early prose drew on refinery workers and the lives of people displaced by war.

His career spans fiction, journalism, cinema and theatre in Iran and abroad. Look Europe! received a staged reading at London’s Almeida Theatre on 5 October 1997, directed by Gari Jones, with Harold Pinter among the cast. Stoning was presented at Golden Thread’s ReOrient festival in 2001.

His novel Boys of Love was published in English by University of Wisconsin Press in 2024, translated by Poupeh Missaghi. Le quattro stagioni iraniane was published in Italian by Musicaos Editore in 2024, edited and translated from English by Benedetta Pati. The longer website biography follows the development of his writing, the publication record and his attributed recollections, with sources beside the chapters.
