The work and its context
A press release and contemporary Lecce reporting announce Ceasefire for 14 April 2022 at the Castromediano Museum. They identify Rabihavi as director and describe three episodes: Zeytun (Olive), Fairy Lights and Love & Sickle. The planned event is documented; its completion and the project’s precise production date are not established by the announcement. Source 41 · Source 42
The episode descriptions move between the destruction caused by war, women’s lives under religious authority and domestic violence. Manoocher Deghati and Kaveh Golestan are named as collaborators, but their particular technical roles are not specified. Fairy Lights also has a later screening record; whether that record describes the identical cut used in Ceasefire remains unresolved. Source 41 · Source 42 · Source 43
