Reading orientation
The narrator remembers an encounter with Qamar through closely registered touch, breath and movement. The garden’s barrier and the possibility of being discovered keep desire within a setting of constraint. Family and work enter the recollection without turning it into a detached account of either. The long passage asks the reader to follow sensation as it changes into anxiety. Rather than reducing the encounter to an event in a chronological life, a useful approach is to attend to what the narrating voice remembers sharply and what fear makes uncertain. Source 2
Publication and language
The Persian story appears on Baang on 14 July 2025. The magazine’s critical introduction is separate from Rabihavi’s narrative. The first-person form alone does not identify the narrator as the author, and the English title here is an editorial finding aid. Source 1
