Tahereh
A daughter confronts the closure of the cemetery where her Baha’i father should be buried.
Transliterated title reported by Asad Seif. An authorised English title and a publication date have not been established.
The work
Asad Seif specifically names Tahereh among Rabihavi’s plays in his 2024 account of revolution, war and exile. His synopsis follows a Baha’i family after the father’s death: the town’s Friday prayer leader has closed the Baha’i cemetery, and Tahereh decides to resist that order and bury her father there. The essay places the work within Rabihavi’s attention to lives made precarious by religious and social authority. It supplies a title and a dramatic situation, without an inspected script, named edition, cast, venue or completed production. The title remains undated here; 2024 dates Seif’s essay. Source 25
