A place in a wider literary history
Iranica’s Children’s Literature entry briefly identifies Rabihavi’s writing about war and names the early books represented here as Mordad, at the Foot of the Kilns of the South, Palm Tree and Gunpowder, and Memoirs of a Soldier. Its dates are 1358, 1359 and 1360 in the Iranian calendar, paired with 1979, 1980 and 1981. The books’ own imprints remain the evidence for their individual editions. Source 1
Published in 1991, the entry situates this writing within a wider history of literature for younger readers. Its discussion of a Children’s Book Council selection and an Andersen distinction belongs to Hushang Moradi, in the preceding passage. Those honours are not attributed to Rabihavi. Source 1
